Live a Thrive Life through our High 5 Essentials He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. Luke 6:48 GROW I have planted, Apollos watered; but God was making it grow and He gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Corinthians 3:6-7 We are always on a journey of becoming more like Jesus in every way possible. The more we seek God, the more our desire for God will grow. And if we keep on seeking God, if we refuse to give up until we have found God and even then keep seeking a deeper knowledge of God, if we stubbornly persist in seeking God in the face of all doubt and discouragement, then our desire for God will gradually outgrow our other desires. Deep… To grow fruit you need a seed. Only when a seed is planted can it break open and the process of growth can begin. Embrace God is to allow his desires to rule in our hearts. Deeper… ‘Deeper” is a word that defines our desire for each person, going a little deeper, pushing out into deeper waters, getting away from the norm. We have a deep spiritual hunger that resides in us and it is calling out to God, responding to God’s call to go deeper. The deep waters of God’s Spirit are calling out to fill the deep places of our hearts. We respond with our prayers and our spiritual hunger that drives us to the Word of God and worship. Worship is our pathway to deeper waters. CONNECT And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24 Fellowship is not just something that we try to fit into our busy Christian life. Fellowship will challenge us, encourage us, help us stay accountable, and fellowship is showing obedience to God and his word. Don’t neglect this part of the Bible. COMMIT I appeal to you therefore, brothers by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2 SERVE As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10 The Bible has a great deal to say about servanthood because the central theme of the Bible is the Servant of all—Jesus Christ. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). All believers are called to servanthood. VISION Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 We were born with the potential to live extraordinary lives. Our journey to extraordinary living is about realising our life’s vision. When we discover God’s vision for our lives, we are forever changed. We become more energised and excited to live each day. We begin to think, talk and walk with a different motivation. We don’t permit life’s distractions and discouragements to hold us hostage. We do not allow today’s circumstances to keep us from moving towards tomorrow’s promises. Back to About Thrive CC
